Wow, today’s flying by! Myself and the three other Chinese teachers taught our first lessons with our classes today. My class is the Dragon class (龙) and we covered essential greetings (hi, how are you, I’m fine, I’m horrid) as well as looking at how to say what you, he or she were called and all the numbers 1-99!!! >PHEW< I don’t know about them but that’s enough for me for one morning! My class have been brilliant; extremely friendly, polite and really eager trying out all the Chinese they’ve been learning.
Students learning their mystery identities with the oh-so-essential question: 你叫什么名字？
In addition to language classes students have begun learning their morning exercise routine (早操), putting their hands to the graceful yet deadly art of tai’chi (太极), designed and created their China-inspired T-shirts as well as had a go on a variety of Chinese instruments: Chinese violin (二胡), Chinese harp (古筝), Chinese recorders (葫芦丝), drums (鼓) and guitars (吉他，琵琶): noisy but fantastic!

T-shirt designing getting underway!
